I am Sandrine, pronounced SaeNDRIY-N. I am a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy Reserves and a Financial Services Professional at Charles Schwab Corporation since May 2020. I graduated with a B.B.A. in Economics and Finance in December 2019 from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Economics Data Analytics at the same institution. I enjoy helping others and taking responsibility for my actions and decisions. I want to combine my knowledge of financial products with technology skills to help companies and investors make strategic decisions. I am an overachiever and put myself in difficult situations to force myself to grow. I try to learn as much as I can about my weaknesses and find ways to improve them. I am always looking for feedback about my work and personality. I believe you cannot fix something if you do not think/know if it is broken, and just because something was true yesterday does not mean it will be true tomorrow.

My role consisted of teaching a class of 35 undergraduate transfer students about the resources available to them at the school. The goal of the course was to facilitate the students' transition between schools. As an undergraduate transfer student myself, the idea was to have peers show the new students the resources that school has to help them be successful and tap into my personal experience to guide each student to the path of success.

As one of 20 carefully selected students, I had the opportunity to invest real money in the financial market. After a sector analysis, we would conduct a regression of sectors drivers against sectors ETF returns and present our findings and recommendation to the class. The next step is to analyze a couple of companies selected from each sector and present the findings and recommendations to the class. The class votes on which company to buy, and each group conducts an attribution analysis of their sector. Students take the CFA ethics quiz and obtain Bloomberg Market Comcept certification.
